David Raymond of Damiera Says its All About the Music in YourFindit Interview

Frontman of Damiera, David Raymond has gone through a lot to pursue his music. Virtually homeless, Raymond is constantly on tour, creating music on the road and recording at any space he can get. In an exclusive YourFindit interview with Rebecca Firth, Raymond talks about his life as a musician and the effect its had on his personal choices and lifestyle.

Damiera is described as an indie, funk band with a touch of soul and R&B featuring dual lead guitars and syncopated rhythms in a pop format. Musical influences include Michael Jackson, Weezer and The Police. Although the band has experienced multiple line up changes and even a breakup, the music continued to grow. The band released their latest album Quiet Mouth Loud Hands with Equal Vision Records on June 24th.
Quiet Mouth Loud Hands is the first album since Damiera reformed. The concept album is focused on the importance of doing more than talking. The theme of the album is further represented through the album art which features a young boy with tape and the word fire over his eyes symbolizing the innocence and unbiased views of a young child.
