Migrant Workers Feared Dead after Boat Sinks Off Malta

A boat carrying illegal migrants sank off the coast of Malta and now Maltese officials are saying as many as 71 workers may have drowned.

At least eight survived after clinging to a dinghy in the Mediterranean Sea until they were rescued by a fishing vessel.

The survivors were turned over to a military boat. The boat then searched the area but failed to find any additional survivors.
