Rocco DeVilliers, Director of Award-Winning Film “The Flyboys,” Discusses Movie in Audio Interview with YourFindit

Rocco DeVilliers, director of the award-winning film The Flyboys starring Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects, Half Baked), Tom Sizemore (Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, True Romance), Jesse James (As Good as it Gets) and Reiley McClendon (Pearl Harbor), recently completed an audio interview with YourFindit in which he talks about the tremendous response his latest film has received as well as the impact films like Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Superman has had in his creative process.

DeVilliers co-wrote The Flyboys with his brother, Jason DeVilliers, and he directly relates his experiences growing up to the film that has earned numerous awards including the Slate Award at the California Independent Film Festival, the Jury Award at the Durango Film Festival, the Jury Award at the Garden State Film Festival, the Audience Favorite Award at the Riverside Film Festival, the Audience Choice Award at the Jackson Hole Film Festival, and more than 40 other wins.

The Flyboys buzz has continued to grow as word of mouth has carried it into new markets where it has generated larger audiences. DeVilliers related the growing recognition to the path My Big Fat Greek Wedding took in 2002 when it started as a small independent film and quickly found its way to an Academy Award nomination.

At the heart of the story is a pair of 12-year-old boys in a small town who find themselves in a serious test of courage and loyalty when they accidently stowaway on a small plane owned by the mob.
