Dalai Lama Admitted to Hospital in India

One day after cancelling upcoming trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic due to exhaustion the Dalai Lama has been admitted to a hospital in India after suffering chest pains.

While the severity of the chest pains have been downplayed by a spokesman the 73-year-old was taken to a Mumbai hospital where the condition was being monitored.

According to a spokesman for the Lilivati Hospital the Dalai Lama had just been given a clean bill of health last month.

The Nobel Peace Prize-winning spiritual leader has had a busy year as he has traveled extensively to push the Tibetan cause.
