PETE’S PLUMBING INC. ANNOUNCES EXPANDED RANGE OF GREEN PLUMBING TECHNOLOGY

ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA. (September 29) — Pete’s Plumbing Inc., a family-owned and operated full-service residential and commercial plumbing company that serves Alpharetta, Georgia and nearby areas, announced that it has expanded its green plumbing product offering for both residential and commercial clients, including solar thermal hot water systems, hydronic radiant heating, and low flow shower and faucet fixtures.

Julie Lippitt, President of Pete’s Plumbing, said, “Because we invest so much time in knowing what our clients need, we realized that it was of great benefit to expand the types of green plumbing products that we offered for both residential and commercial plumbing services. Eco-friendly plumbing technology is changing at a rapid pace, and we have kept pace with the advancements by extending our product range to include more devices designed to save water, lower energy consumption, and, most importantly, help the environment.”

The three new green plumbing technology products include:

• Solar thermal hot water systems absorb the sun's heat and use it to heat water for home or business needs through either direct or indirect solar water heating. These are designed to lower energy consumption and even can save on water usage. This is because the water is ready on demand, which means water is not wasted while the user is waiting for it to heat up.
• Hydronic radiant heating uses a solar hot water (or thermal) system to heat the home. Instead of sending the heated water to a hot water heater, it can be transferred to a radiant floor and/or wall panel radiator. These systems are more efficient than relying on a forced air heating system and can be zoned to individual rooms that have their own thermostat. This also significantly decreases energy consumption.
• Low flow shower and faucet fixtures dramatically reduce water consumption but still provide good water flow and pressure. The fixtures are now available in even more designs—from modern to traditional—proving that green plumbing products do not have to be utilitarian-looking to be functional and cost-effective.
