Rarely is progress made in any field without initially going against what is considered “the norms”. The addiction treatment field is no different.

Individualized addiction treatment involves a complete intake assessment of a substance abuser regarding their abuse history, treatment history along with their current environmental, physical, mental, family and social situations. After the assessment is completed, our team of licensed, credentialed professionals works together to create a treatment plan that is optimal for that person. Along with traditional addiction treatment methodologies, Mountainside employs some more non-traditional treatment options such as Yoga, Tai Chi, guided meditation and even physical programs, all designed to help a person learn how to cope with the challenges that they are certain to face when their in-patient treatment is complete.

The compassionate, caring treatment team at Mountainside is comprised of licensed and certified counselors and social workers as well as an on-staff Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse, both of whom have specializations and extensive experience in drug addiction and alcohol treatment. For clients who may have psychiatric issues and/or a dual diagnosis, Mountainside provides the services of a Psychiatrist who also has specialization in addictions.
