Troubled 24-year-old starlet Lindsay Lohan has checked herself back into rehab until her next court hearing scheduled for October 22.
The young actress will stay at the live-in facility in Southern California voluntarily. Speculation is rife about which facility Lohan has chosen, but the famous Betty Ford Center near Palm Springs is the most likely option.
Lohan has seen her fair share of the inside of institutions, with 14 days spent in jail in July for violating her DIU probation with a further brief time in jail earlier this month after she tested positive on a court-ordered drug test. She was released on $300,000 bail.
The young star has repeatedly appeared to make light of her trouble with the law in the past, however this recent rehab stint seems to be a more genuine attempt to turn around her wild ways. Just days before Lohan was spotted with her mother and younger sister at a homeless shelter clocking up community service hours. Her new ‘good girl’ image is either a last-ditch attempt to turn herself around or an elaborate stunt to get good media coverage before the probation hearing in October.
The outcome of the hearing could see Lohan back behind bars if Judge Elden Fox decides Lohan has been false in her attempts to follow the court’s rulings. Fox could also jail her to prevent her from leaving the state.
Lohan will have a hard time reviving her career after the mess of the last couple of months with many directors shy to take on the starlet with such a sketchy record.
