Tanker Explosion in Cameroon Kills at least 30

At least 30 villagers in Limani in northern Cameroon were burned to death late Thursday night when a fuel tanker overturned and then exploded.

The villagers had gathered around the tanker after it overturned and were trying to gather fuel as it poured from the vehicle when the fuel ignited. According to reports a bus tried to drive around the overturned tanker and while it passed its exhaust triggered the ignition and led to the blast.

The fuel tanker had been traveling from Nigeria to Chad when it crashed in the Far North Province.
