Big 12 College Football Schedule For Week 1 Begins Saturday

College football in the   Big 12 Conference begins Saturday with several of its top teams opening their seasons.

The SEC sports five teams in the AP Top 25 rankings, including five in the top 15. Oklahoma, the highest-ranked Big 12 team at #4, will begin their national championship hopes against Chattanooga on Saturday.

Heisman Trophy runner-up Chase Daniel will lead his sixth-ranked Missouri Tigers into one of the biggest games of the opening weekend. The Tigers will face the #20 Illinois Fighting Illini on Saturday.

Heisman Trophy candidate teammates Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree will take their #12 ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders against Eastern Washington on Saturday.

Iowa State started their season Friday night in a 44-17 win against South Dakota State, while Baylor lost to #23 Wake Forest on Friday, 41-13.
