The Britney Spears episode of "Glee" gave us the full "Hit Me Baby, One More Time" routine Tuesday night and as the Post's Emily Yahr notes in her full recap of the episode, it delivered lots of Britney music, and even more of Brittany (Heather Morris) and her deadpan loopy dialogue, but not much face time from Spears.
Within the first 30 minutes of the show airing, Glee and related words took 8 of the 10 spots on the Twitter trending topics, including: Britney Spears Glee, After Dentist Reference, Heather Morris, Sue Sylvester, Artie Singing, Jewish Cloud and Lea Michele, reports Small Screen Scoop.
Actress Heather Morris, who explained in the episode that her character's name is actually Britney Spears - "Brittany S. Pierce", busted out of her Cheerio outfit and ponytail as she channeled the real Britney in a dentist's chair fantasy.
Meanwhile, the real Britney was on Twitter making comments as she watched the show. Some of them:
* "Jane Lynch scares me."
* "I know how hard it is to dance with a snake. Good job."
* "Slave: ... Oh... My ... God!"
* "Watching Baby brings back so many memories! Feels like yesterday...."
We kind of think John Stamos stole the show as handsome dentist Carl, and Britney seemed to agree. She tweeted:
"John Stamos is still hot! He looks the same as he did on Full House."
