Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla says the Florida mother who is suspected in the disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter will be back in jail by Saturday as he will revoke her bond. Casey Anthony was bonded out of a Florida jail by Padilla on August 20.
Padilla says he plans to put Anthony behind bars again as he believes her missing daughter Caylee Anthony is dead. New evidence was uncovered this week that suggests the toddler may be dead. Air-sample tests from the trunk of Casey’s abandoned car showed evidence of human decomposition and DNA evidence has been matched to a strand of Caylee’s hair.
"I think (Caylee’s) dead," Padilla said. "I can’t figure anybody else that would be in the trunk deceased."
Caylee went missing in early June but Anthony didn’t report her disappearance until 5 weeks later.
Anthony told investigators that she left Caylee with a babysitter at an apartment in Orlando. Anthony alleged that she had been looking for the woman ever since but had been unable to find her. The apartment Anthony identified to be the babysitter’s had been vacant for over 4 months, police say, and the alleged babysitter said she didn’t know Anthony.
Anthony, 22, has been charged with child neglect and lying to police. She remains on home confinement.
