2008 U.S. Open Results: Venus Williams Breezes Past Alona Bondarenko to Advance

Venus Williams needed just under an hour to dismantle Alona Bondarenko 6-2, 6-1 at the 2008 U.S. Open on Saturday and now advances to the fourth round.

Williams never gave Bondarenk a chance as she dominated from the start and collected nine aces against her Ukrainian opponent. Venus never gave Alona a break point opportunity en route to the easy win.

Williams is searching for her eighth Grand Slam title and her third U.S. Open title. Earlier this year she won her fifth Wimbledon title.
