College Football Scores: #13 Wisconsin Badgers Use 210 Yards from P.J. Hill to Drop Akron in Opener

The #13 Wisconsin Badgers opened their 2008 college football season and after working out a few first game jitters in the opening half they rolled to an easy 38-17 victory over the Akron Zips on Saturday.

P.J. Hill led the way for the Badgers as he collected 210 yards on the ground and scored a pair of touchdowns as part of the 404 total yards gained from the Wisconsin rushing attack.

Allan Evridge put the Badgers in the endzone in the first quarter when he found Garrett Graham on a 3-yard touchdown pass and Hill pushed the lead to 14-0 three minutes later and it looked like the Badgers would roll but the Zips managed to climb back into the game and by halftime they trailed 17-10 and looked confident.

Wisconsin then put the game to bed in the third quarter as Hill added his second touchdown and Zach Brown scored on the ground from two yards out as the Badgers extended their lead to 31-10 heading into the fourth.

Wisconsin will face Marshall next week.
