2008 U.S. Open Results: Roger Federer Advances to Fourth Round with Win Over Radek Stepanek
Roger Federer continued his march to a 13th career Grand Slam singles title with a straight set 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Radek Stepanek at the 2008 U.S. Open on Sunday.
Federer had little trouble against Stepanek as he continued to plow through the field in pursuit of his fifth straight U.S. Open title. Federer was broken just once, in the first set, but responded by breaking back and then cruised through the remaining two sets.
Federer has yet to win a Grand Slam singles title this year after falling in the finals at the French Open and Wimbledon to Rafael Nadal.
