A Frontier Airlines flight from Mexico to Colorado was held upon landing Saturday because of a sick child onboard. Passengers on Flight 64, which landed at the Denver International Airport from Puerto Vallarta, were not allowed to deplane right away. Paramedics boarded the plane to examine the 1-year-old child, which witnesses say had blisters in its mouth, and on its hands and feet.
"Paramedics boarded the flight and have assessed the child and taken the child to a local hospital," said Frontier spokeswoman Lindsey Purves.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had passengers fill out contact information. It appears the child suffers from hand, foot and mouth disease, which is common among children.
