Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony puts India’s Best Foot Forward

India is the world’s largest democracy and one of the fastest developing nations. As such, the Commonwealth Games (CWG) being held in India wasn’t surprising. What was surprising was the amount of bad press the games received right up to the start. It seemed like everything from the Games village, Kalmadi’s leadership, malfunctions, and the Queen’s giving the event a miss, was pointing to a not so great CWG 2010.

World Class Entertainment

True to India’s never-say-die form, though, the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony was a sight for sore eyes! The best of the Indian world and rural life was up for display. Oscar winner and proud Indian A. R. Rahman sang the opening or theme CWG song and hopes are high that the song will give Shakira’s Waka Waka a run for her money in terms of popularity.

More Bad News

Another thing that displays India’s massive development spree is the import export of the country. This unfortunately includes the import of large amounts of asbestos. This mineral is well known for being a great insulator; however, there are ill effects due to increased asbestos exposure. Mesothelioma is a rare form of such cancer.

A Rare Disorder

A country like India should learn from developed nations like the U.S. in terms of mesothelioma related lawsuits. Mesothelioma lawyers specialize in dealing with such cases. They are hired so as to ensure that the employee who has suffered from a company’s negligence can claim a fair amount of compensation in damages like punitive damages and of course, for pain and suffering.

Mesothelioma lawyers understand the frail health conditions of their client and therefore, try to win their case with the slightest client requirement.

Request of the Day

America has many mesothelioma attorneys dedicated to their jobs and it looks like India will soon have her share of mesothelioma attorneys to manage such cases. It would be sharply better if India moved on to another mineral or at least clarified the damage caused by mesothelioma with their employees. In the absence of these scenarios, it looks like mesothelioma lawyers will soon be on the docket.
