ATLANTA, GEORGIA. (October XX) — Carithers Flowers, a second generation, family-owned full service florist that serves the entire Atlanta, Georgia and Atlanta Metro areas, wants to help employees celebrate national bosses’ week October 11-16 by offering a full-range of professional floral arrangements and gifts.
The week is capped off with National Boss Day, which is always on October 16 each year or the work day closest to that date. This week-long celebration is a way for workers to recognize those leaders and mentors in their lives who they appreciate and respect. Although many gifts can be given on this holiday, the most popular remain floral arrangements, plants, and gift baskets.
In commenting on this special week, Charles Carithers, nationally recognized florist, stated, “At Carithers Flowers, we have beautiful gifts of flowers, plants, orchids, for the office that are tasteful and professional for every type of boss. Also available are dish gardens and desktop blooming plants. Customers can also select one of our custom-made delicious gourmet treat baskets, including Snack Attack and The Sugar Basket, or fresh baked brownies and Mrs. Fields cookies.”
There is a specific etiquette around giving gifts to the boss that should be noted. Carithers added, “Gifts to the boss should be delivered as a group effort. This minimizes any office discord that might be created if some employees feel that they are trying to be outdone by another. One gift from the entire staff also allows everyone to contribute to the cost and present a generous thank you for all that their managers and leaders do for them and the company.”
Many of the available floral arrangements and gifts available through Carithers Flowers are eligible for Petal RewardsTM, the company’s loyalty club in which one reward point is given for every dollar spent that can be redeemed during checkout for cash savings on future orders, exchanged for brand name merchandise, or donated to the charity of choice.
About National Boss Day and Week
National Boss Day was started in 1958 by Patricia Bays Haroski, an employee at State Farm Insurance Company in Deerfield, Illinois. She selected and registered the holiday as October 16 to commemorate her father's birthday. She began the holiday as a way to improve the relationship between employees and their supervisors.
