Caylee Anthony, the young Orlando girl who has been missing for more than two months, is likely dead according to statements made by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Air samples taken from the trunk of a vehicle driven by Caylee’s mother, Casey Anthony, have indicated a decomposing body had been stored in the car and earlier test conducted by the University of Tennessee “Body Farm” revealed the same.
Hair found in the trunk has also been directly linked to Casey Anthony and a suspicious stain located in the trunk is believed to be blood from the three-year-old.
Casey Anthony reported her daughter missing nearly one month after the girl disappeared. She maintains that she left Caylee with a babysitter and when she returned both were gone. Police arrested Caylee Anthony and charged her with child neglect and lying to investigators but after a month in jail she was freed on $500,000 bond.
On Friday she was rearrested and jailed on unrelated check fraud charges.
Casey Anthony has not been charged in her daughter’s disappearance but has been named a person of interest.
