Ohio State's highly-touted freshman quarterback Terrelle Pryor scored a touchdown in his college football debut on Saturday. The Buckeyes defeated Youngstown State, 43-0.
Pryor entered the game behind backup Joe Bauserman on the depth chart, but entered the game before Bauserman.
Pryor, the dual-threat quarterback, was 4-for-6 for 35 yards passing, while having nine carries for 52 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
It is expected that Pryor will be utilized with OSU starting quarterback Todd Boeckman the way then-freshman Tim Tebow was used with Chris Leak for Florida in 2006. UF won the championship that year and Tebow won the Heisman Trophy last year, giving Buckeye fans a lot of hope for Pryor, who was the nation's top recruit last year.
Pryor, the 6-foot-6, 235-pound quarterback from Jeannette, Pa., became the first player in Pennsylvania history to run for 4,000 yards and also throw for 4,000 yards.
