Water Damaged iPhone Service Announced by Milliamp

Repair company offers glimmer of hope to iPhone, iPad, and iPod owners with liquid or water damage.

The repair company milliamp.com has just announced an evaluation and repair service for water-damaged Apple iPhones, iPod, and iPads.

Washing machine, swimming pool, jacuzzi, or wet gym bag, the folks at milliamp.com have heard it all, and specifically-developed a solution for individuals who have liquid-damaged iPods, iPads, and iPhones.

"Perhaps a fifth of the phone calls and emails we get are from people who have devices that came in contact with some sort of liquid, and it's exciting to be able to offer a potential solution for these individuals.", said Anthony Magnabosco, the owner of the repair company.

The service includes removing as much moisture from the innards of the device as possible, complete disassembly of the device, the application of a specially-forumlated corrosion-inhibitor to all affected parts, and then a methodical build-up of the device to determine which parts may need replacing.

Opportunities to back up data on the water-damaged device are also identified and offered to their customers.

"Our evaluation and repair service for liquid-related trauma is perhaps the best real hope for water-damaged devices.", added Magnabosco.

Milliamp says that the success rate of repairing liquid-damaged devices is roughly fifty percent - devices that cannot be repaired are carefully packaged up and sent back to the customer.

Devices that had liquid damage and are then repaired may still have issues related to that initial trauma down the road, but for those with nothing to lose, the new repair service from milliamp.com offers is good news for people with water-damaged iPods and iPhones.
