The new U.S. Putting Tour is providing people looking for
careers in golf or part-time
golf jobs a way to make money in golf as independent golf tournament promoters.
The putting tour enables any individual to hold USPT National Championship official qualifying events throughout the year leading up to the championship, which is scheduled for September 24-30, 2011 in Carlsbad, California at The Crossings at Carlsbad.
"This
golf business opportunity is ideal for someone interested in starting either a part-time or full-time business in the golf industry," said USPT founder Jim Hartley. "People who live in the Sun Belt can operate USPT qualifying events year-round; in other parts of the country they can get started in the spring."
The USPT lets golf entrepreneurs establish their own schedule and select the courses for holding the qualifying tournaments. These events can take place at public or private clubs, resort courses or practice facilities that have a large enough and good quality green. Qualifying tournaments can run on weekends or weekdays.
The independent tournament promoters set their own entry fee for their events and decide on the format for the competition. When a winner is decided, the event promoter submits the winner's information and a $250 entry fee on the winner's behalf to qualify him or her for the USPT National Championship finals.
Information on suggested tournament formats and running a qualifying event is available at the U.S. Putting Tour website for individuals interested in this golf business opportunity. Interested parties also can email info@usputtingtour.com.
