Oil Giants Texaco BP and Chevron USA are facing asbestos claims from eployees
Oil Giants Texaco BP and Chevron USA are facing asbestos claims from employees or family members who are alleging asbestos injury.
A widow and her children of a man that worked for Texaco filed the ClaimOne lawsuit alleging he died after developing asbestosis. As of October 7th, 2010 Southeast Texas Records show that Charles Arceneaux worked for Texaco in the refinery in Port Arthur. The records show that Mr. Arceneaux while employed by Texaco was exposed to asbestos dust. On August 8, 2009 Arceneaux died after developing asbestosis. The lawsuit claims that Chevron USA and Texaco were both aware of the employees being exposed to asbestos and did nothing to prevent theses conditions.
BP Corp North America finds themselves in their own asbestos-related lawsuit filed by a former employee who was diagnosed with lung cancer.
Evertt and Chery Cannon are the plaintiffs that allege that Amonoc Oil (known as BP) were aware of the risks associated with asbestos. This is based on Southeast Texas Record as of October 6th 2010. Everett Cannon has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
The consequences of exposure to asbestos has been linked to lung cancer,
mestothelioma and asbestosis all of which are potentially fatal.
