Tampa Bay Rays extend Series to Game 5 beating the Texas Rangers

The Tampa Bay Rays evened the series against the Texas Rangers taking 2 games from Texas in Arlington. The series is now even at 2 games a piece with both teams getting their wins on the road.

The Rays who came into Texas trailing the series 2-0 won both games against the Rangers on the road to force a game 5. The only team to come back from a 2 nothing deficent in a 5 game series were the New York Yankees.

The Rays toppled the Rangers 5-2 after taking a 5-0 lead into the 6th inning.

Evan Longoria had two doubles along with  a 2 run homer in the 5th to put the Rays ahead 5-0 and close the door on the Rangers.

Tommy Hunter the Rangers starting pitcher was knocked out in the 4th inning.

Today was all Rays. The Rangers will pitch Cliff Lee in the deciding game Tuesday night. Lee who came over to Texas in a trade won game one. The Rays will throw out David Price who went 19-6 in the regular season but lost the opener against Lee with a post season era of 5.40.

The winner of game 5 will play the New York Yankees who swept the Minnesota Twins.
