Casey Anthony Fails to Meet Deal Deadline Offering Limited Immunity

Casey Anthony had until 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday to provide investigators with information about her missing three-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony but the 22-year-old mother continues to remain silent.

According to the State Attorney’s Office Casey Anthony had the opportunity to share information with investigators and that information would not have been used against her in court. Now that the deadline has passed the deal has been taken off the table.

Caylee Anthony has been missing for more than two months now but Casey Anthony failed to notify police about the disappearance until her mother forced her to report the case on June 16.

Casey Anthony has only told investigators that she dropped Caylee off with a babysitter and when she returned both were gone. Police and investigators have gathered evidence from the trunk of a vehicle driven by Casey and tests have revealed the presence of a decomposing body. Hair recovered from the trunk has also been matched to Caylee Anthony, leaving police to believe that the young girl is dead.

After serving a month in jail on charges of child neglect and lying to investigators Casey Anthony was freed on $500,000 bond but on Friday she was once again placed behind bars on unrelated charges of check fraud. Her $500,000 bond was revoked on Saturday.
