Courtney Cox of “Friends” fame and actor husband of 11-years David Arquette have decided to undergo a trial separation, which has in fact been in place for a number of month now according to the couple.
The couple said in a joint statement: "The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply."
The glitzy pair, who met and fell in love on the set of 1996 teen horror hit “Scream” are said to be one of Hollywood’s stable couples, with 11-years under their belt. Cox, 46 and Arquette 39 have a six-year-old daughter together, Coco.
The pair rejoined the set of the Scream franchise for the fourth installment this summer, with Arquette saying of the venture: "It's nostalgic. We met on 'Scream 1,' and on 'Scream 2' we were kind of on-and-off dating. And by 'Scream 3' we were married. And now on 'Scream 4' we have a child. It's sort of an amazing marker throughout our lives."
Rumor has it that although the pair have separated quietly some months before, they were forced to publically announce it because Arquette was snapped out on a date with rumored new lady-love, little-known actress Jasmine Waltz.
The star couple have fought off rumors of marriage trouble for years, however this time, they proved to be true.
