Christina Aguilera Separates From Husband

Christina Aguilera has split from her husband of five years, Jordan Bratman, according to a recent report from TMZ.com. According to the report, there are no plans for divorce, but the two have been separated for months now.

Aguilera, age 29, told Us Magazine (who first broke the story about the couple's split) less than a year ago that she felt "very blessed" in her marriage with the 33-year-old music executive. But, according to a source, "they are now living apart, and they will see how that goes." According to the Us report, an insider said about the now estranged couple that "They were very much in love. But over the last six months, it ­became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.” The source goes on to explain that Aguilera even "proposed their August trip to Italy to ­rekindle their relationship, but it didn’t help."

Aguilera and Bratman, who met in 2002 and were married in 2005, have a 2-year-old son Max together, and the source says that both of them are united in their commitment to him. (Sources: TMZ.com, usmagazine.com)
