LeBron James played for 26 minutes in the Miami Heat's exhibition game on Tuesday before he limped off the court and straight into the locker room. Heat star Dwyane Wade and Heat coach Erick Spoelstra followed James as he walked back to the locker room. Moments later, Wade came back with news that surely put many worries to rest: it was just leg cramps.
An audible gasp could be heard when James walked off the court while holding the back of his right leg. "You couldn't help but to hear [the gasp]," said James, who scored 22 points before leaving the game with just 4 minutes left in the third quarter. "After
seeing D. Wade go down in the first couple of minutes of our first
preseason game and then to see me grab my hamstring, I knew exactly what
they felt. But I'm fine and I could be ready for the next game."
James said, "I can be ready to play the next game if I needed to play," but coach Spoelstra has reportedly decided to take the safe route and not play James in the Heat's Wednesday game in New Orleans.
