She’s be a light in the darkness on this year’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ show, and now Jennifer Grey is set to star in an upcoming episode of hit TV show ‘House’.
Grey, who had an early burst of stardom as Baby in the cult classic “Dirty Dancing” alongside the late Patrick Swayze may be entering her second wind in Hollywood. Or at least in TV.
The 50-year-old actress is set to play a mother in an episode called ‘Unplanned Motherhood’ which is due for screening to US audiences on October 18. The plot of the episode see’s Grey’s character, Abbey, facing dilemmas when her newly-born daughter begins having difficulties breathing, and also suffers liver failure.
Of course Abbey is assigned to star of the show Dr. House, played by UK actor Hugh Laurie, who predictably make a discovery about the alarming nature of her daughter’s health. Grey’s character ends up having to make a decision which could affect both her and her daughter’s life.
While the plot is not revolutionary for ‘House’ Grey is nevertheless following in her father’s footsteps by doing the guest appearance. Her father, Oscar-winner Joel Gray also appeared in an episode about a man asking for help to end his life, called ‘Informed Consent’.
Grey is continuing her comeback to the small screen, after her once-successful film career fizzled out. Her spot on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ has placed her firmly back in center stage, with the best performances in the season.
