The case of missing Orlando three-year-old Caylee Anthony took yet another turn on Wednesday as reports surfaced that investigators had found “significant levels” of chloroform in the car driven by the girl’s mother, Casey Anthony.
Investigators had already announced evidence revealed a decomposing body had been stored in the trunk of the car and strands of hair belonging to Caylee Anthony had been found in the same area of the vehicle.
In addition to the chloroform finding, investigators also found information on one of the computers taken from the Anthony house that somebody had been searching for how to use chloroform.
Casey Anthony remains in jail after police arrested the 22-year-old mother over the weekend on unrelated charges of check fraud. Anthony served a month behind bars but was freed on $500,000 bond last month. The bounty hunter that posted the bond had hoped Casey would aid in the investigation of Caylee Anthony but has said she has provided no information to investigators.
Police now believe Caylee Anthony is likely dead yet a group of about 40 searchers continue to hunt for the missing girl.
