Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB) to Release Year End Earnings September 11

Campbell Soup Company (Campbell) together with its consolidated subsidiaries, is a global manufacturer and marketer of branded convenience food products. The Company's operations are organized under four segments: U.S. Soup, Sauces and Beverages; Baking and Snacking; International Soup and Sauces, and Other.

 

The Company's largest customer, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and its affiliates, accounted for approximately 15% of the its consolidated net sales during the fiscal year ended July 29, 2007 (fiscal 2007).

 

In June 2007, the Company completed the sale of its ownership interest in Papua New Guinea. In March 2008, Campbell announced that it has completed the sale of its Godiva Chocolatier business to Yildiz Holding A.S. In July 2008, Campbell acquired the Wolfgang Puck soup business from Country Gourmet Foods.
