Pop sensation Justin Bieber is being investigated by police in Richmond, British Colombia, after claims he assaulted a 12-year-old boy during a game of laser tag on Friday.
Bieber was in a game of laser tag at Planet Lazer in Canada, when he was shown off the premises after the boy complained of a physical altercation with the star. Canadian blogger, zacktaylor.ca has said that Bieber had accidentally hit one of the kids he was playing tag with during a game.
Bieber is also reported to have been corned by a group of kids during the game, the 12-year-old in question along with them, who repeatedly fired on the star calling him homophobic names. In an attempt to break free, Bieber reportedly hit the boy in an effort to get past him.
While the boy admitted to only receiving very minor injuries, his parents called the police anyway.
A Planet Lazer staff member recalled the event:
"The 12-year-old kid was surrounding Justin in the corner with his other little friends and shooting him during the game with their laser guns. Justin did what any other person would do during a laser tag game, and was just trying to get away from getting shot at and accidently hit the kid while running away."
Celebrity gossip website TMZ reported that Bieber never actually struck the boy. Bieber waited at the lobby of the laser tag center to talk to the boy’s parents, but they persisted in calling in the authorities.
