Sarah Palin, an animated force in the Republican campaign across the US, was in Orange County today to talk to a crowd of supporters in Anaheim and try and get them to vote on election day November 2.
Both of the most popular GOP candidates where no where to be seen. Gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman and campaigner for a seat on the Senate Carly Fiorina were both at campaign events miles from Palin.
Palin, who is both loved and loathed in the US fed of the rowdy crowd’s anger at the healthcare reforms and the recession asked those in the gathering to ramp up efforts in the lead up to the elections.
"Let's pledge our lives, our fortune, our sacred honor. Will you do it?" she asked of the crowd, each of whom had paid a $20 entrance fee. "You wouldn't be here today if you didn't know too that America is at a turning point. … People know something has gone terribly wrong with our government and it has gotten so far off track. But people also know that there is nothing wrong in America that a good old-fashioned election can't fix."
Palin was critical in the nomination of Fiorina, but didn’t mention the candidate in the speech. She turned on Obama’s want to apologize to other nations though:
"We have a president today who is getting pretty good at apologizing, but see, he's apologizing to all the wrong people. So Mr. President, with all due respect, next time that urge to apologize waves on over you, I have some suggestions for who to apologize to. How about apologizing to the 15 million Americans who are looking for work today?"
