The U.S. Putting Tour, a new national amateur golf tour, announced today that it is offering corporate sponsorship opportunities with the tour and the national championship.
The USPT is making a limited number of sponsorships available to companies in select categories and industries. These sports sponsorships will be focused on companies and brands interested in reaching the demographic of male and female golfers and golf fans.
"The beauty of the U.S. Putting Tour as a golf sponsorship vehicle is that it has both grassroots reach and national impact with the tour and the championship," said USPT founder and president, Jim Hartley. "And it represents an opportunity for a company or brand to align with a new golf event right from the start, much like MCI did years ago with the long-drive challenge."
This
amateur golf tour provides sponsors with the chance to run a customer hospitality program in conjunction with the national
putting championship in September 2011 in Carlsbad, California. Sponsors also can run consumer promotions in which winners will receive an entry into the
putting tournament.
Sponsors also will be able to create a marketing presence at the national championship, which will be held at The Crossings at Carlsbad. Visibility can include signage, sampling and displays near the practice putting green, where the putting tournament takes place over six days.
