Casey Anthony Freed for Second Time after Bond Posted

Casey Anthony, mother of missing three-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony, has once again been freed from jail after her $500,000 bond was posted to earn her release.

Anthony has been named a person of interest in Caylee’s disappearance but has not been called a suspect. She was jailed for nearly a month after she was charged with child neglect and lying to investigators. The 22-year-old mother was then jailed a second time last weekend when police arrested her on unrelated charges of check fraud.

According to bond documents the parents of Casey Anthony put up the collateral to get her released early Friday morning. Those documents stipulated that the parents would repay the bondsman for any losses incurred.

Anthony will once again be required to stay at her parents’ house in Orlando and wear an ankle bracelet so authorities can keep track of her.

Caylee Anthony has been missing since June yet Casey Anthony didn’t report her daughter’s disappearance until July. She has told investigators she left her daughter with a babysitter and when she returned both were gone.

Shortly after reporting Caylee missing police arrested Casey and she was jailed until a bondsman posted the $500,000 to free her. The bondsman had said he hoped Casey would help investigators find her daughter but the mother has done little to aid in the search.

After being rearrested on check fraud charges the bondsman revoked the $500,000 bond leading to a new bondsman posting the same amount for her freedom.

Authorities have now said the likelihood of Casey Anthony being found alive are slim after the discovery pointing to a decomposing body in the trunk of a car Casey Anthony was driving. On Thursday information was released stating “significant levels” of chloroform had also been found in the vehicle.

Despite ominous news more than 100 searchers continued their hunt for the young girl on Thursday.
