Kristen Stewart, of Twilight mega-fame, has taken a walk on the method-acting side, well almost. In Stewart’s latest film she plays a teen runaway who turns to stripping and the actress revealed that when she and the film director went to a strip club, she was offered a job.
The film “Welcome To Rileys” opens in November and is directed by Jake Scott. Stewart revealed that she was surprised to discover just how easy flaunting your sexuality is: "Like, I went to a strip club with the director and the costume designer and it being an odd grouping of people going into a strip club in the middle of the afternoon, I was, like, straight-up offered a job."
While the Twilight star doesn’t quite feel as comfortable as her character Mallory does with exploiting her sexuality, her role in the film did lead to her being hit on quite a few times while strolling around New Orleans, where the movie was shot. Because of the film’s scantilty-clad style, Stewart recalls that: “walking around New Orleans wearing the kind of stuff I was wearing literally could be like boom, boom, boom, done. But I would never do that,” she clarifies.
The movie also stars James Gandolfini, who plays titular character Doug Riley, but fans will have to wait until the movie opens to discover whether Riley lets our young Mallory into his very dysfunctional family.
Stewart is set to start filming the next installment of the series that skyrocketed her to fame, Twilight: Breaking Dawn in December.
