Silver Wheaton Corp. (USA) (NYSE:SLW) fell 4.41% to $26.67. Silver Wheaton Corp. is a mining company, which generates its revenue primarily from the sale of silver. As of December 31, 2009, the Company had entered into 13 long-term silver purchase agreements and two long-term precious metal purchase agreements.
The stock opened at $27.07 and traded within the range of $26.45-$27.91. The stock went up more than 78% year-to-date.
Silvercorp Metals Inc. (USA) (NYSE:SVM) declined 6.35% to $8.85. Silvercorp Metals Inc. is a silver producing company. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010 (fiscal 2010), Silvercorp mined 406,754 tons of ore. In fiscal 2010, the Company produced and sold 4.6 million ounces of silver, 62.4 million pounds of lead and 14.7 million pounds of zinc.
