AP Top 25 College Football Scores: #11 Wisconsin Badgers Overcome Slow Start to Rout Marshall

Allan Evridge threw for 308 yards and a touchdown while P.J. Hill and John Clay each rushed for 54 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the #11 Wisconsin Badgers (2-0) overcame a slow start to pound the Marshall Thundering Herd (1-1) 51-14 on Saturday.

Marshall jumped to a 14-0 advantage on one-yard touchdown runs from Chubb Small and Darius Marshall but the Badgers got things going in the second quarter as Hill scored from 2-yards out, Philip Welch booted a 45-yard field goal and Zach Brown added a 3-yard TD run for a 17-14 advantage at the half.

Wisconsin poured it on in the second half as they found the endzone three times in the third quarter with Hill adding his second TD of the game, Evridge hitting Garrett Graham on a 26-yard toss and Clay rushing in from 3-yards out.

The Badgers tacked on two more touchdowns in the fourth to finish off their run of 51 unanswered points.

Wisconsin will face their first challenge of the year next week when they travel to face the #21 Fesno State Bulldogs while Marshall takes on Memphis.
