Suns Outshine Warriors 92-87

The Phoenix Suns beat the Golden State Warriors 92-87 Tuesday night to manage a better record in the preseason and improving their prospects for the regular season.

The Suns have struggled in the previous games and do not have a brilliant record when compared to other teams. Yesterday night's game helped them to improve their rebounding and defense skills as they minimized the Warriors to 33 percent shooting.

Robin Lopez remained the most efficient offensive player of the Suns and scored 14 points and 10 rebounds in 26 minutes. Guard Steve Nash took 15 shots and made eight; he finished off with 18 points while adding four assists and seven turnovers.

Monta Ellis was the ace player of the Golden State who managed to score 29 points in a 10-of-28 shooting. David Lee, who is the Warriors' All-Star acquisition, went 1 for 11 from the field and finished off with four points and nine rebounds. Channing Frye did not impress earlier in the game but later managed to ward off a game-tying layup by Monta Ellis.

The Suns had a 3-point shooting range, with - 37.8 percent from the field, which may not help them when they face the Denver Nuggets on Friday, in what is their last preseason game. They were ranked 29th in rebounding, which has been improved with the latest win thanks to Lopez' seven rebounds in the first 10 minutes of the game.

The Friday game against the Nuggets would determine the outcome for the Suns, though their fans are not that optimistic given their lackluster performance this preseason.
