Affordable drug rehab emerges as standard of care

Drug rehab affordability a factor in care

As the current state of economic affairs continues its decline, many wonder what the future holds for a crucial part of their lives: their health.

With unemployment rates at an all-time high, many are finding themselves faced with tough choices as it relates to their family’s health and well-being. Others are concerned with another immediate need: a substance abuse problem of their own, or of a family member, that needs to be addressed, yet the cost for treatment may be unaffordable.

“When a person must make a choice whether to pay their mortgage or to get clean from drugs or alcohol, what choice do they make?”, asks a spokesperson for Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center. “For those who do not suffer from any type of addiction, it seems like an obvious choice: get treatment. But, for those who battle alcoholism and other addictions, the answer isn’t so clear. As a matter of fact, those tough choices often are a roadblock to treatment for an individual. They see the answer of ‘pay my mortgage’ as the only choice at this point in their lives. They feel as if they have more immediate needs to attend to which will affect their family ‘right now’. What they often fail to realize is that their complacency in getting the treatment that they need will more negatively affect their family than a missed mortgage payment. At Mountainside, we have always believed that a person shouldn’t have to make a choice between surviving financially or simply surviving. That’s why we pride ourselves on offering affordable drug rehab for individuals who desire to live a life of sobriety. This core philosophy has driven us from the very beginning of our treatment program.”

Recent research shows that in-patient drug rehabilitation costs are soaring, numbering into the tens of thousands of dollars monthly. Finding affordable drug rehab treatment removes just one more barrier to becoming sober for many individuals.

Since its inception, Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center has been committed to creating ways that will help individuals to get and to remain sober.

The compassionate, caring treatment team at Mountainside is comprised of licensed and certified counselors and social workers as well as an on-staff Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse, both of whom have specialization and extensive experience in drug addiction and alcohol treatment. For clients who may have psychiatric issues and/or a dual diagnosis, Mountainside provides the services of a Psychiatrist who also has specialization in addictions. As a result of their unique, innovative approaches to addiction treatment over the past 12 years, Mountainside has become the model for the addiction treatment field.

The program, along with its professional addiction treatment team, has earned national recognition and resulted in Mountainside being invited to Washington by the White House to meet with the White House Drug Czar, John P. Waters, for an in-depth meeting on what makes its program so successful. These accolades did not go unnoticed within the addiction treatment field and resulted in the adoption by many throughout the country of a more holistic approach to drug addiction treatment.
