NFL Scores: Carolina Panthers Shock San Diego Chargers on Last Second TD Toss from Jake Delhomme

Jake Delhomme tossed a 14-yard touchdown pass to Dante Rosario as time expired to lift the Carolina Panthers to a stunning 26-24 road victory over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

Delhomme finished with 247 yards passing and the one touchdown, the only offensive TD of the game for the Panthers; John Kasay was a perfect 4/4 on field goals and Chris Gamble scored Carolina’s only other touchdown on a 31-yard fumble recovery.

Kasay gave the Panthers a 19-10 lead in the fourth quarter after booting a 49-yard field goal but the Chargers managed to overtake Carolina with a pair of Philip Rivers TD tosses, a 24-yard Touchdown pass to Antonio Gates and a 5-yarder to Vincent Jackson with 2:27 left in the game.

Trailing 24-19 Delhomme began the winning drive on the Panthers own 32-yard line.
