Steve Jobs Announces War Against Google

Stressing on brilliant products and customer services versus Google's "fragmented" strategy, Apple CEO Steve Jobs described Google as disingenuous, self-centered and off-target. He also revealed his desire to outdo Google not only in tablets and smartphones but also in the campaign to win the hearts and minds of those who want to connect with the digital world of the present and the future.

These remarks came during a conference call with analysts in which Jobs was expected to talk about Apple’s first 20 billion-dollar quarter. A close assessment of the premeditated comments indicates that he used that opportunity to criticize Google on various fronts.

Speaking of Google’s activation volumes per day, Jobs said that Apple currently exceeds them by about 40%. As far as Google’s volume of applications in its store is concerned, Apple currently exceeds it by 220%, according to Jobs.

Jobs denounced Google’s description of his company’s platforms as closed and said that the commentary is “fit for an open sewer”.

According to Jobs, it is Google’s conduct towards developers that forces them to spend so much time testing 244 Android handset versions, against two for Apple.

Commenting on Google’s desire to force its clients to become integrators, Jobs said that it is different from his company’s commitment to do whatever is best for clients- a philosophy which according to Jobs ensures "the user isn't forced to be the systems integrator".

Jobs’ criticism of Google comes at a time when Apple is operating at the maximum level of excellence, innovation and precision that it is near impossible to find any weaknesses in its operations, execution, strategy or products.
