Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
(NASDAQ:AMLN) plunged 50.37% to $10.17 as U.S. health
regulators declined on Tuesday to approve a diabetes drug being developed by
Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc's and Eli Lilly and Co, citing the need for further
studies, including the drug's effect on heart rate.
Deutsche
Bank downgraded Amylin Pharmaceuticals from Buy to Hold.
The
company is scheduled to report its fiscal third quarter results today after the
closing bell with estimated loss of 33 cents a share. Amylin is projected to
have $164.55 million in revenue. In a year ago period, it had a loss of of 19
cents a share on revenue of $211.24 million.
Bank of America Corporation
(NYSE:BAC) fell 3.47% to $11.39 after Oppenheimer
& Co downgraded Bank of America Corp from Outperform to Market Perform with
an $18 price target.
Over
the past five trading sessions, the stock went down more than 13%. At current
market price, the market capitalization of the company stands at $114.29
billion.
Weatherford International Ltd.
(NYSE:WFT) increased 1.25% to $17.39. FBR Capital
downgraded Weatherford International from Outperform to Market Perform. The
firm lowered its price target on the stock from $23 to $21.
Over the past 52-week, the stock traded within the range of $12.34-$20.88.
