Mindtrip Competes in Make Rock History to Open for Motley Crue

Mindtrip is competing in the Guitar Center contest, Make Rock History, for a chance to open for Motley Crue.  Fans are encouraged to visit makerockhistory.com and vote for the band.  Having already opened for Korn and currently facing a potential opportunity to open for the Stone Temple Pilots this Halloween, the band feels prepared to play with one of the most popular bands in rock history.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Mindtrip describes them selves as aggressive, mainstream rock, drawing influences from Alice in Chains, Godsmack and Metallica.  The group was founded eight years ago by Eli and Davos.  Their debut album, Stand Your Ground, was released in 2005.  A second album entitled Six Gun Prophets will be released by the end of October.

The band started recording the tracks for their upcoming album in early 2007 at Lighthouse Trax with producer Corey Lowery and sound engineer Jeff Woods.  Corey Lowery is known for his work with Stuck Mojo, Stereomud and Dark New Day.
