E TRADE Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:ETFC) is
trading at $14.44 and decreased 2.10% from the previous day’s close. The
company reported that it swung to a third quarter profit of $8 million, or 3
cents a share, from a loss of $855 million, or $6.74 a share, in the same
quarter last year.
Revenue
dropped to $489 million from $575 million. Analysts, on average, expected the
company to report earnings of 3 cents per share on revenue of $317.43 million.
Over the
past 52-week, the stock had traded within the range of $11.15-$19.90. At
current market price, the market capitalization of the company is $3.19
billion.
Entergy Corporation (NYSE:ETR) dropped 1.37%
to $76.05. The company said Thursday its third-quarter earnings climbed to
$492.9 million, or $2.62 a share, from $455.2 million, or $2.32 a share, in the
year-ago period.
Revenue
increased to $3.33 billion, from $2.94 billion. Wall Street analysts expected
Entergy to earn $2.60 a share, on revenue of $3.44 billion, according to a
survey by FactSet Research.
The
stock went down more than 8% year-to-date.
Reynolds
American, Inc. (NYSE:RAI) lost 0.83% to $62.48. The company said Thursday
its third-quarter net profit rose to $381 million, or $1.30 a share, from $362
million, or $1.24 a share, in the same period a year ago.
Sales rose 4% to $2.24 billion. The firm reaffirmed and tightened
its adjusted earnings-per-share guidance for 2010, and now expects $4.95 to
$5.05 versus prior guidance of $4.90 to $5.05.
The stock opened at $63.31 and is trading within the range of $62.26-$63.31.
The stock made its fresh 52-week high of $63.31.
