Former Playmate Charged with Attempted Murder

Victoria Rathgeb, Playboy  Playmate of the year in 1968 was arrested  for attempted murder. The actress who had small roles  in ’ Rosemary’s Baby’, Hogan’s  Heroes  and Star trek shot her husband, Bruce Rathgeb in their Hollywood apartment. During the domestic dispute on Saturday Oct 16, Victoria shot her husband at close range. It is unclear if he will recover from his injuries. The nature of the dispute has yet to be released it is unclear why the actress resorted to violence instead of seeking the advice of a divorce lawyer.

Turning to Violence 

In the US, homicide of an intimate partner accounts for 30% of female deaths and 5% of male deaths. According to experts, women often resort to physical violence rather than divorce after long periods of increasing accounts and severity of abuse.
