Lance Armstrong to Compete in 2009 Tour de France, Race for Astana

According to VeloNews seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong will be back on his bike in 2009 and look to capture his eighth title after coming to an agreement to race for Astana.

As part of his deal with Astana the soon-to-be 37-year-old will take part in five races; the Amgen Tour of California, Paris-Nice, the Tour de Georgia, the Dauphine-Libere and the Tour de France.

After winning his seventh Tour de France title in 2005 Armstrong retired but he has stayed active, running a series of marathons and participating in various bike races.
