Lohan To Be Back In Court on Criminal Case

Embattled starlet Lindsay Lohan is heading back to familiar territory – a criminal court. The actress will face a judge who may send her either back to rehab or back to jail for failing a court-ordered drug test.

Elden S. Fox is the Los Angeles Superior Court Judge presiding over Lohan’s case, and will formerly decide whether the “Lucky Me” star was in violation of her probation by failing the drug test back in September.

Lohan has already publically admitted that the result of the test were accurate, so Justice Fox may decide to either send her back to jail or back to rehab. Originally Fox had sentenced Lohan to spend jail time while waiting for the hearing, but she was released on bail within hours after another judge had overturned the ruling.

Instead Lohan checked herself into hard-line rehab center The Betty Ford Clinic, either in an attempt to really get herself clean, or appear to do so for the benefit of the judges.

Lohan’s trouble with the law has been taking its toll on her career, as she failed to appear for promotions of her summer film “Machete” because she was in jail. Her next starring role is set to be a biopic of porn star Linda Lovelace.

If Lohan is sentenced to jail at Friday’s hearing, she will undoubtedly be released early due to jail overcrowding, as happened the previous two times the star was incarcerated, once this year and once in 2007.
