The
Chubb Corporation (NYSE:CB) added 0.27% to $58.52. The
company company said that third-quarter net income was $572 million or $1.80 a
share, compared to $596 million, or $1.69 a share, in the third quarter of
2009.
The company was expected to make $1.40 a share, according
to the average estimate of 21 analysts polled by FactSet Research.
The stock today made its fresh one-year high of $59.18.
The stock went up more than 17% year-to-date.
Siemens
AG (ADR) (NYSE:SI) slid 0.09% to $116.24. The company said
Thursday it's introducing electric car charging stations for commercial,
residential and government applications. One option features a 7.2 kilowatt
single-output station.
Over the past 52-week, the stock had traded within the
range of $82.74-$117.94. At current market price, the market capitalization of
the company stood at $101.02 billion. The stock made its fresh one-year high of
$117.94.
Chevron
Corporation (NYSE:CVX) gained 0.19% to $84.41 after it made its
fresh 52-week high of $85. The company said Thursday it has sanctioned the $7.5
billion development of the Jack/St. Malo project, the oil major's first
operated drilling plan in the Lower Tertiary area in the deepwater Gulf of
Mexico.
Over
the past 52-week, the stock had traded within the range of $66.83-$85 and is up
more than 8% year-to-date.
