Maria Sharapova Gets Engaged
Tennis Star to Wed Basketball Star
Vujacic said he proposed to the Wimbledon, U.S. Open, and Australian Open champion on the one-year anniversary of the pair's first meeting. ''It's was probably old school,'' said Vujacic. ''I had to do it like a gentlemen.''
Vujacic is an accomplished NBA guard, who has played with the Lakers during two of their championship-winning years (2009 and 2010). Sharapova is a precocious tennis great who won her first Grand Slam title at at the age of 17 (Wimbledon).
