Ohio State Buckeyes running back Chris “Beanie” Wells will be in the backfield on Saturday when his school faces off against the #1 USC Trojans in one of the most highly anticipated match-ups of the college football season.
Wells missed last week’s game against the Ohio Bobcats with an injury to his big toe on his right foot and the Buckeyes offense struggled to a 26-14, costing Ohio State two spots in the AP Top 25 rankings, landing them at #5 in the most recent poll.
On Tuesday Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel reported “He said to [offensive coordinator] Jim Bollman and I walking into the meeting room on Monday, he said, 'I'm ready to carry 45 times on Saturday.'"
Saturday's game is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
